Giving thanks and kitty head hugs

Wow, this year has brought me many reasons to feel thankful and blessed! 💗

I’ve gone out with the girls from the salon (did I mention I also do hair?) and we’ve ventured into the realm of hosted dating events around town. None of us have found our …. ahem… prince charming, gruff alpha, or sexy cowboy, but we’ve had a good time drinking wine and getting to know each other. I’m not sure if this foray has encouraged me, or had the opposite effect for signing up to another dating app. We shall see early next year. 😉

We’ve gone wine tasting and flowed into the peaceful arena of paddle boarding during the hot summer months. Now that was fun. I love the water, and will accept any opportunity to play in it, on it, around it. It’s reminded me of just how much I miss living close to the ocean…

Members of my family have been through numerous health challenges this year, but as of today, my mom and dad are both doing relatively well. I’m so grateful for their continued loving presence in my life.

And my cats, well I have a serious issue whenever the vet (or anyone) calls them seniors. 😆 For being 17 years old, they are both healthy and still playful… and becoming more affectionate as each day goes by. It’s a joy to wake up with my girl (Sitara) laid out on my arm under the covers, purring up a storm and making it impossible to just bounce out of bed. She also loves to climb onto the chair behind me and wrap her little body around my head with a hug. 🥰

My boy, (Loki) has begun demanding that I sit down at least part of my day and let him commandeer my lap (which was clearly made just for him). They both join me for our yoga sessions, taking turns blocking my poses. and become quite the choir at 5pm or as soon as I get home, demanding their afternoon treats.

In May, I was filled with joy to have the opportunity to meet so many of you at my first book signing event. 📚 We held it at a wine bar, and everyone had a blast. The amount of love in that room overwhelmed me in the best way. I can’t wait for the next one.

I’m so excited to announce (but you saw it on the main page if you’re here) that I’m expanding into the Romantic Fantasy genre. I’ve had this story pushing to be written since before I moved to New York city. After moving back to Northern California, it was not waiting any longer. I wrote the relationship part, and now I’m swimming in the arena of alternate universes, of vampires, 🐉 dragons and magic. To say I’m excited is a huge understatement. I’m loving the world building, the way my characters expand even further when an element is fleshed out…. This writing thing is truly glorious.

I plan to have book 1 available in the spring, and finish the trilogy by the end of 2026, because this saga is showing me how it wishes to expand beyond what I currently have in mind. 😉

I’m grateful for a lovely place to live, neighborhoods that are easy to walk, for the glorious ways that Fall kisses the trees and makes them blush in a myriad of ways and then strips them of all their leaves, for cozy sweater weather, and for my mom’s Hungarian cooking. I’m thankful for my continued health, for wonderful and kind people in my life, and for the way my brother and I can connect on so many fun levels. I’m grateful for nutritious breakfast shakes and New York style pizza!

And I’m incredibly grateful to you for your presence in my life and continued support on this writing journey. That I get to jump into the vortex of creation and emerge with stories that I can tell in my way and they take you into another realm where you too get to play with these unforgettable characters.

🦃Happy Thanksgiving! 🎄✨Happy Holidays!

I wish you all the wonderful things in your life that bring you so much joy… that you overflow with it.
